On March 26, 2021, the "Sweden-Japan Academic Network" open webinar,
co-hosted by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science
(JSPS) Stockholm Office, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (KVA)
known as the organization awarding the Nobel Prizes,
and the Embassy of Japan in Sweden, took place to memorialise
the launch of the Kyushu University Stockholm Liaison Office.

*The Strategic Information and Communications R&D
Promotion Programme(SCOPE)has been adopted
by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications
in Japan in FY2021.

From January 8th to February 8th, Ministry of Internal Affairs and
Communications (MIC) had called for new proposals of Strategic
Information and Communications R&D Promotion Programme
(SCOPE) which is one of competitive funds in the information
and communication field, and this time 18 programs have been
adopted in Japan (34 applications in Japan).

Using a series of physiological measurements, a new study
from researchers at Kyushu University provides new experimental evidence
that this just might be the case.

*Cheap, non-toxic material for photoactive electronics
and chemistry in the spotlight

Now, a group of material scientists from Tokyo Institute of Technology
and Kyushu University have collaborated to develop a cheaper and
non-toxic narrow-gap semiconductor material with potential ‘light-based’
or photofunctional applications, according to a recent study published
in Chemistry of Materials.
