** Research
*Mystery of the Mercury's anomalous magnetic field solved
http://www.kyushu-u.ac.jp/en/researches/view/118
------------------------------------------------------------
The research group consisting of Drs. Futoshi Takahashi from Facu
lty of Science, Kyushu University, Hisayoshi Shimizu from Earthqu
ake Research Institute, University of Tokyo, and Hideo Tsunakawa
from School of Science, Tokyo Institute of Technology, clearly ad
dressed the big question using numerical dynamo modeling mimicking
the thermochemical structure of Mercury’s interior.
*Abundance of pelagic microplastics in the present and future ocea
ns(Kyushu University, Tokyo University of Marine Science & Technol
ogy, Civil Engineering Research Institute for Cold Region, Ministr
y of the Environment)

------------------------------------------------------------
Researchers in Kyushu University, Tokyo University of Marine Scien
ce & Technology, and Civil Engineering Research Institute for Cold
Region show the secular variations of pelagic microplastic abundan
ce in the Pacific Ocean from 1957 to 2066, based on a combination
of numerical modeling and transoceanic surveys conducted meridional
ly from Antarctica to Japan.
*A cluster of neurons discovered:New evidence for fat as a primary
taste quality
http://www.kyushu-u.ac.jp/en/researches/view/120
------------------------------------------------------------
Keiko Yasumatsu, Yuzo Ninomiya and collaborators uncovered whether
